·Naasson Apps

The app catalogue is boring on purpose

Two hundred and seventy applications, and none of them are exciting. That is the point.

The catalogue behind Naasson Apps has grown past two hundred and seventy self-hosted applications. Databases, message queues, dashboards, wikis, object stores, the usual crowd. None of them are novel, and that is deliberate.

A catalogue earns trust by being predictable. Every entry installs the same way, exposes the same health checks, and gets torn down without leaving orphans behind. The interesting work is not the software — it is the sameness around it.

When a new tool arrives, the first question is not “is it clever” but “does it fit the pattern”. If it needs a special case, it waits until the special case can be made general. Boring scales; clever does not.
